Twinless twins

There are organisations and web forums that are based around the world that assist twinless twins:

  • Twinless Twin Support Australia – a private Facebook group coordinated by an Australian twin who lost her twin
  • Twinless Twins Support Group International is a nonprofit organisation founded by Dr Raymond Brandt, an identical twinless twin, who found healing by reaching out to other twinless twins. It is made up of twins who have lost their twin due to death at any age. Members at different stages in their bereavement listen to each other and reach out in the spirit of ‘Healing By Helping’. “We focus on healing and sharing our twinship with the belief that Once a Twin, Always a Twin. Hope can be renewed for the future.”
  • The Lone Twin Network is a voluntary support group run by and for twinless twins, over the age of 18, whose loss has occurred at or around birth, in childhood or during adulthood. It is a UK based group but also has many members from all over the world including a newly formed group of lone Australian twins. “Through meetings and personal contact, we aim to offer a friendly and comfortable environment in which to talk openly and honestly about how it feels to be without your twin. You will find there is a wide variety of experiences and circumstances of loss within the members of the group – please remember, you are not alone.”
  • Compassionate Friends
  • Twin Loss (New Zealand)

There may be other closed groups available to join on Facebook if search Twinless Twins.
