All Twins Research Australia facilitated projects have been independently reviewed and approved by TRA and the Human Research Ethics Committee of the relevant researcher’s institution, as having significant scientific value and meeting the necessary ethical requirements. The ethics program number for the Australian Centre of Excellence in Twin Research is 1545015.1.

Participation in any TRA study is voluntary. All information concerning prospective and confirmed participants remains strictly confidential. This means that access to information that identifies you will be made available to the researchers only if you and your twin agree to take part in the study. Confidential data resulting from your participation in the study will be kept securely in the files of TRA and the secure servers at University of Melbourne. It will not be passed on to anyone else without your permission. Research data may be published but will contain no identifying information.

You are always free to refuse to participate and can withdraw at any stage.
