This project is investigating how temperament develops over time, with a particular focus on the period of late childhood through to mid-adolescence. It aims to investigate temperament by looking at where it might be identified in the brain, and how these areas are connected to one another. It will also investigate what genetic and environmental factors might influence temperament development, particularly the influence these factors have on the brain biology of temperament.
This project involves an online survey - which will take approx 2 hours for the parent to complete on behalf of themselves and their twins. Some twins may also be contacted for a magnetic resonance imaging scan at the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne.
Identical twin pairs, aged 9-15years living in Melbourne are eligible to participate.
